Light Weight Portable Chairs

I recently went out looking for light weight foldable chair. My prime motive was an upcoming camping trip during which I would be doing a lot of hiking. From past experience I am well aware that hiking trips can be ruined by lugging around endless amounts of equipment.

Because of this I am the proud owner of a very expensive tent that weights practically nothing. While the tent was ideal for sleeping in, it was a little annoying having to sit on the ground every evening while having a few beers and that's where the light weight foldable chairs comes in. I was at first sceptical about whether it would be possible to actually purchase a foldable chair that was both light weight and comfortable to carry however it turns out that I need not have been.

Research has proven however that it is actually possible to get incredibly light weight foldable chairs. There are many companies that offer them and they are made out of the same materials as lightweight tents and therefore weigh next to nothing. What I was even more surprised to learn about however was that there are many that actually fold to the extent that they can be placed in a very small bag. And as well as this just because they have been designed for portability this does not mean that they don’t come with a few luxuries. While before I would often spill my beer that was sitting up in the grass, from now on I will even have a little holder. Perhaps they may not sound luxurious to you but it is these sorts of creature comforts that are really appreciated when you are spending a few weeks in the forest.

If you are interested in buying light weight portable chairs, the only thing that you really need to be careful about is that most companies produce two different types, one that is for the general outdoors and one that is for the beach. The one for the beach is suited to the beach as it is made of material with holes. This leads to you sweating less on your back when sitting down and of course allows the sand to fall off through the holes. This type is not really suited to going hiking with however as they are not overly comfortable compared to those designed for general out door use. Those designed for outdoor use are also far easier to clean.

Other being aware of those two different types of light weight foldable chairs, there is very little that you need to know, they are after all just chairs, hardly the most complex purchase of your life. Despite this simplicity however, if you are heading camping, heading to the beach or are just very lazy person having a barbeque in his garden, they really are the perfect solution and I therefore highly recommend them. For the amount of comfort and convenience that they offer they are worth every dollar.
